UTS Digital Analyser™
Accuracy, Speed, and Simplicity in Digital Urinalysis
The UTS Digital Analyser™ is a semi-automated, in vitro diagnostic device that uses digital reflectance photometry to interpret results from the UTS-10 Cap™. It operates via USB power connection or battery power, making it suitable for flexible use in near-patient settings. The UTS Digital Analyser™ is intended for use by healthcare professionals to support accurate, efficient urinalysis at the point of care.
The UTS Analyser is the foundation of the UTS Digital Urine Testing System, transforming how urinalysis is performed at the point of care. Using high-resolution optical sensors and digital reflectance photometry, it captures and analyses reagent pad colour changes, categorising each result into predefined levels based on analyte concentration, automating the process for fast, reliable, and repeatable results.
By removing subjective interpretation, manual handling steps, and timing errors, the UTS Analyser eliminates common sources of variability associated with traditional methods. Its digital connectivity ensures secure, traceable results, supports governance requirements, and integrates seamlessly with electronic health records.
Compact and user-friendly, the analyser fits easily into a wide range of care settings, helping healthcare professionals deliver safer, faster, and more consistent testing at the point of care.

UTS Tube 5ml™
The UTS Tube 5ml™ is a single-use specimen receptacle with a secure lid, designed for the collection and containment of urine specimens during in vitro diagnostic testing. It contains no additives.
The UTS Tube 5ml™ is designed to work in combination with the UTS-10 Cap™ and UTS Digital Analyser™. Its secure lid connects directly to the cap, which is then inserted into the analyser for the qualitative or semi-quantitative determination of urine analytes, with results displayed digitally.
Together, this integrated system supports safe, efficient, and repeatable urinalysis at the point of care, enabling healthcare professionals to deliver reliable results in near-patient settings.
UTS-10 Cap™
The UTS 10 Cap™ is a sealed, single-use push-fit testing cap designed for the in vitro diagnostic determination of ten urine analytes:
Glucose, Blood, Bilirubin, Ketone (Acetoacetic Acid), Specific Gravity, pH, Protein, Urobilinogen, Nitrite, and Leukocytes. Used in conjunction with the UTS Digital Analyser™, it is intended to aid in the diagnosis of renal, urinary, hepatic, and metabolic disorders.
Replacing traditional dipsticks, the UTS 10 Cap™ ensures controlled, consistent sample contact within a sealed, hygiene-focused design. By preventing direct exposure of the analyser to urine, it protects both users and equipment, reducing contamination risk and maintaining analyser performance giving users greater confidence in reliable results and a simpler, cleaner testing experience.

Digital Display
Designed to enable digital connectivity and integration with electronic patient records via middleware, supporting accurate data capture, robust governance, and more streamlined, traceable clinical workflows.
Why Explore a new approach to urinalysis?
Clare Tull, Urology Centre Manager at Southampton University Hospital, explained the rationale behind reviewing their current approach:
Previously using urinalysis dipsticks and the results were mixed, with various times and inaccuracies, and an inability to collect correct data.
