Digital urine testing proves ‘cleaner, faster and more accurate’ in GP trials
UPDATE: We are delighted to share that Dr Kyle Stewart was runner-up in the General Practice Awards and received a Highly Commended certificate for the ‘Rising Star of the Year’ award.
Clinical Design works intensively alongside clinicians and we are pleased to announce that one of our Clinical Advisors, Dr Kyle Stewart, has been shortlisted for the ‘Rising Star of the Year’ award at the General Practice Awards 2019.
Dr Stewart is a General Practitioner (GP) at an NHS surgery in South Devon and is committed to both using and realising innovation to improve care and drive change.
Dr Stewart is an NHS England Clinical Entrepreneur Fellow and he says, “I became a GP because I was interested in all aspects of medicine. It’s great for those who wish to pursue a portfolio career. It allows me to explore and pursue health innovation through research, design and entrepreneurial ventures – whilst gaining broad exposure in practice.”
Further to his work in clinical practice and with Clinical Design, Dr Stewart has been conducting research with University of Exeter through a fellowship in Theoretical Medicine. He and the research team have discovered a new medicine in a common plant which they believe to have far reaching healthcare benefits.
Winners will be announced at The General Practice Awards on 29th November 2019 in London.
